Fort Simpson Airport (YFS) is an airport located 8.5 miles of Fort Simpson, Northwest Territories in Canada. There are three airlines flying in and out of YFS-Fort Simpson including Air Tindi, Canadian North, and First Air with destinations to Yellowknife. Fort Simpson is the only village in the Dehcho Region and is 31 miles from Yellowknife. Aside from acting as the regional center, Fort Simpson is also known to be the gateway to Nahanni National Park Reserve and South Nahanni River, which attracts tourists.
