Fort Resolution Airport – YFR Fort Resolution 

Fort Resolution Airport (YFR) is a public airport operated by the government of the Northwest Territories. YFR is located next to Fort Resolution, Northwest Territories in Canada. The name Fort Resolution is translated to “Moose Island.”

This hamlet is nestled in the South Slave Region close to the Slave River along the Great Slave Lake, which also happens to be the main base of the Deninu Kųę́ First Nation. This community represents the town of Fort Resolution.

There is no domestic or international airport nearby other than Pine Point Airport (YPP), which is, located approximately 22 miles from Fort Resolution Airport. There are also no airport hotels available for passengers. Hence, most passengers book their accommodations at Beaulieu Motel and Tucho Bed & Breakfast, which are near the airport.
