The Walker Art Center is Minneapolis, Minnesota’s multidisciplinary contemporary art centre. This is one of Minnesota's most visited museums along with the Cowles Conservatory and the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden. Its visitors’ yearly attendance goes up to more than 700,000. It was established in 1927 with its former name as the Walker Art Gallery. By January 1040, it was formally known as the Walker Art Centre, gaining support from the Works Projects Administration and the Federal Art Project.
