Targovishte Airport – TGV Targovishte
Targovishte Airport with code TGV is located in Tagovishte, Bulgaria. Buhovtsi Airfield is another name for this airport facility. The airport is within the village of Buhovtsi. This is about 13 km from the main city of Tagovishte. The location of the airport made it accessible to Shumen Provinces. Because the airport is closed, the locals are using the roads and railway stations. The government is putting money on road networks instead of airports. This is one of the major controversies being faced by the government.

Prior to its closure, Targovishte Airport is considered as an international airfield. Bulgaria has several airfields that are closed down due to the high cost of maintenance but don’t offer to provide from the government. The airport is one of those that is closed down due to a lack of funding.
When it is operational, the airport is also serving the city of Razgrad.
