Pagadian Airport – PAG

Pagadian Airport is a major domestic airport that serves the city of Pagadian. It is located in Muricay / Tiguma, roughly five kilometers from the city center of Pagadian, Zamboanga. It is owned by the local government of Zamboanga and is operated by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP). Its IATA code is PAG and its ICAO code is RPMP. The Civil Aviation Authority classifies the airport as a Principal Airport Class 1. Pagadian Airport – PAG sits at an elevation of 2 meters above mean sea level. Major renovations were made to the airport in 2006, which cost roughly $8.7million. It rehabilitated the facility. The renovations were completed in 2009. In addition to being a commercial airport, Pagadian Airport also serves the Philippine Airforce. The first airplane to land there was the Air Force’s Fokker 70. By 2010, the Pagadian Airport – PAG had started operating with local airlines including that of Cebu Pacific, which operated domestic flights. Cebu Pacific is a local budget airline. Main destinations from Pagadian Airport include Manila, Cebu, and Davao City. Cities, towns, and villages located near the airport include Ozamiz, Labangan, and Kagawasan.
