Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts in Amarillo, Texas is home to Amarillo Opera, Amarillo Symphony, Lone Star Ballet, and other renowned events. Inaugurated in 2006, it has administrative offices, dressing rooms, and staging areas. Its auditorium can seat up to 1,300 people. 

Fun things to do in the area include visiting American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame and Museum. It showcases photos of inductees as well as exquisite paintings of American Quarter Horses that are renowned in the bloodlines of present champions. It honors horses and people who have significantly contributed to the growth of the American Quarter Horse. Tourists should also visit Carson County Square House Museum in Panhandle. It was recognized as a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 1966 and included in the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. Established in the late 19th century, it displays more than 10,000 indoor and outdoor artifacts. Another interesting site to visit in the area is Texas Air and Space Museum. It displays a number of civilian and military aircrafts, as well as various collections illustrating the rich history of local aviation.
