The German American Heritage Center in Davenport, Iowa is one of the historically rich museums in the region. Also known as the Germania-Miller/Standard Hotel, it serves as one of the significant cultural centers in the United States. The museum holds and preserves the chronicles and history of the German-Americans that lived in the region. This heritage center was included in the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. Incorporates in 1994, the Standard Hotel on the Davenport riverfront was purchased and was converted to the museum that it is known today.
