The Geographic Center of the United States is recognized as the center of 48 states in the U.S. as declared by the U.S. This landmark is situated two miles from Lebanon, Kansas and has a marker built at the end of the road. The marker is situated across a chapel, monument, and a picnic ground. The center can be reached half a mile in the middle of what used to be a hog farm. People who are passing through the area often take a short trip to the center, especially since it is a short drive from Lebanon.
