Fort Regent in St. Helier, Channel Islands, United Kingdom is a leisure center transformed from an old fortification. The main features of the fort include bastions, curtain walls, ditches, glacis, redans, and redoubts. Established in the early 19th century, the fort overlooks the Elizabeth Castle. The first modern addition to the fort is a swimming pool, which was inaugurated in 1971 and closed in 2009. 

There are many fun things to do in the area, such as visiting Elizabeth Castle. The earliest parts of the castle were constructed in 1594. Named in honor of Elizabeth I, it now houses several museums. One of these is a regimental museum of the Royal Jersey Militia. This museum holds centuries old memorabilia items and military artifacts. There is also a museum depicting the evolution of cannons. Another interesting site to visit in the area is Jersey Opera House. The original structure was founded in 1900. The structure today was built in 1922. A working opera house and theater, it has a chandelier with 10,200 pieces. It is famous for hosting the Jersey Eisteddfod. One of the best hotels in the area is the posh Pomme d’Or Hotel.
