In May 1997, the Center for Contemporary Art Kitakyushu in Kitakyushu was established. The organization with the same name facilitates the center, which is an educational research institution in Japan that mainly revolves in contemporary art. This center is responsible for providing artists working in the development of contemporary arts. The opportunity given to them opens a program where they can interact with other artists and share ideas about arts. They can also engage questions and answers to professionals or specialists in the art in the seminars held to broaden their knowledge and perspectives. After the completion of the program, the artist will have an exhibition of their knowledge on arts open for public audiences.
