Wainwright Airport – AIN, Wainright

Wainwright Airport is a public facility located in Wainwright, Alaska. This city is found in the North Slope Borough. The airport is owned and operated by the local government. According to the census, this is one of the largest towns in the county. The name of the town came from the lagoon nearby which was named after Lt. John Wainwright who discovered the body of the water. Based on the records, the airport with code AIN has over 3000 passengers and it is continuing to grow in small increments.
